Water - Sewerage Administration Iasi
has as a main activity supplying the
drinking and industrial water, sewerage
and cleaning the water used in Iasi
city, Targu Frumos, Harlau, as well
as in 5 commune centers Podu Iloaie,
Raducaneni, Belcesti, Tibanesti and
Vladeni, serving over 550.000 people
and 2.500 companies.
The Administration is making a continuous
effort to ensure the permanent water
supplying as well as the growth of quality
standard.
In September 2000 Apavital Iasi decided
to reorganized its own informatics system.
At that moment there were functioning
some insular applications that led to
major drawbacks in the informatics circuit
due to the inflexibility and non communication:
data were taken many times in the system,
there were repeated delays in data processing
and their centralization in book-keeping,
delays in obtaining the information
necessary for decisions, nonconcordances
between departments regarding data about
the same aspect.
Therefore implementing a solution was
necessary to help the integration of
the data from Apavital Iasi departments.
The company organized an auction here
participated suppliers of ERP solutions:
Crescendo with MRG/PRO, Scala with Scala
5.1, Siveco with Siveco Applications,
Crisoft with CROS.
The optimal solution was CROS due to
a satisfactory cost/ performance report.
Moreover the company IT department considered
that a unique database built using Oracle
8i platform is the most important advantage
of it. The company made a future investment
being well known the portability of
the applications built using Oracle.
Decision of implementing CROS solution
was encouraged by these advantages:
- the whole planning of company resources:
- growth quality of the services offered
to the clients;
- making an efficient relationship with
clients and suppliers;
- global improvement of efficiency;
- profit maximization by flexibility
and quick answer at market requests.
Until now there are implemented the
following modules: General accounting,
Returns and payments, Supplying-reception,
Launching consumptions, Internal orders/
deliveries, Articles data, Inventory,
Human Resources, Administration.
All users from Apavital work simultaneously
on line, using the computers net and
same data, but depending of their tasks
and that led to the diminution of the
time necessary for data introduction
and checking and it was made an efficient
decisional process by having a bigger
period for taking decisions.
Experience and technology included in
CROS as well as the product complexity
and special performances have a positive
influence on company performances indicators,
being a real competitive advantage.
Apavital managed to develop its own reports
due to the opening of CROS and training
made by CRIsoft for using Oracle tools.
