The system provides support for
production planning and control. Given its
flexibility, it can be successfully implemented
in various fields, in large- or small-batch
production, continuous processes or services
and other types of works.
Major functions included:
- Fabrication technologies management
- Production planning and control
- Consumption and cost planning and control
- Planning and loading production charts based
on the resources used (manual work, raw materials,
equipments)
- Quality assurance monitoring (QA)
The above functions are ensured by CROS
modules Internal Orders - Deliveries, CROS
Initiation - Consumption, CROS Product data
management and CROS Maintenance and Repairs.
Major benefits obtained are:
- Decrease of production costs due to a better
consumptions control
- Meeting the deadlines due to a increased
information availability and a better supply
and resources planning
- Improved decision making process due to
the release of persons in charge with production
from the routine activities related to obtaining
data and monitoring costs

All the operations carried on within the organization
are connected, in CROS model, to the master
idea of production order. This can be a work
order, an approved manufacturing / production
plan or an order from one of the departments
within the organization.
Each production order specifies a person
responsible for fulfilling the order, a
deadline, items / products / works to be
achieved, planned cost and other technical
details. The information related to achievements
and costs is further connected in the system
with the production order.
Using CROS Internal Orders gives certain advantages:
- Respecting deadlines due to the fast information
availability
- Decreasing production costs as a result
of a better production planning and monitoring
- Better decisions as a result of the system
use - the management doesn't have to make
routine activities in order to obtain information
and has now, the possibility to concentrate
on taking decisions.
Main functions of module CROS Internal
Orders are:
Management of product lists
- Product items can be tangible (finished
or semi-finished products), or intangible
(works, services)
- The same item can be seen in various manners
(e.g. it can be both semi-finished and final
product, and sold as such)
- Variants of manufacturing flows can be stated
for each item
Production planning
- Placing production orders and cost planning
- Reports to consolidate items to be manufactured
or planned consumption, meant to enable optimal
decisions, taking into consideration dead-lines,
production capacity and material available
Production charts loading
- The production chart loading can be monitored
regarding the raw materials and intermediate
products used in the production process
Production control
- In-works delivery bills and working reports
- Their consolidation and comparison to the
orders launched
- Orders can be monitored by product, semi-finished
product, work etc.
- Production can be monitored in both continuous
and discrete processes
Reports
- Fabrication program and production loading
chart at department/section/enterprise level.
- Manufacturing stages, consolidated or in
detail
- Cost reports and comparisons to the planned
costs
- Standard reports as regards inventories
previously described in the Supply section
are also valid for stocks of finished and
semi-finished products
Integration
- Accounting records are automatically generated
according to pre-established rules
Launching into Manufacturing and Consumption
Monitoring
Main functions of CROS Initiation-Consumption:
List of materials Management
- Consumed items may be tangible (materials,
semi-finished products) or intangible (services,
manpower etc.)
Consumption planning
- Based on items to be produced and on receipts
and process, material requirement (bill
of materials) is automatically calculated
- A material requirement or an estimation
can be also manually placed in the system
- Substitute materials or material diminishing
are included in the system
Consumption monitoring
- On-line issue of consumption bills
- Consumption data retreived directly from
warehouses
- Automatical reservation of stocks for
the period between consumption approval
up to the actual material release
- All data required for cost accounting
are taken in the system at the moment of
recording consumption, in terms accessible
to the user (plant / workshop, order etc.)
Reports
- Detailed and consolidated reports for various
levels regarding planned and actual consumption
- All stock-related reports previously described
in this document are also valid for materials
(balances, warehouse files etc.)
Integration
- Account records are automatically generated
according to pre-established rules
Quality assurance monitoring (QA)
- The management of quality characteristics
for raw materials, intermediate and final
products, predicted and measured values
- Quality assurance monitoring can be made
by materials batches and raw materials needed
in the production process, as well as by
fabrication batches for final and intermediate
products resulted from the production process
- Batches corespondence between the final,
intermediate product and raw materials can
be defined
